How to overcome boredom

Overcoming boredom could be quite stressful, but there are ways you can make our boring moments sparkle life.

  1. Boredom is the state of being weary and restless through lack of interest. This is a natural phenomenon that happens to every human. There are times you feel monotonous towards your routine and wish for something different, variety, sort of.

    There are 5 ways, not restricted to these alone, of coming out of boredom.

    1. Reading a book Getting an interesting book to read could go along way to help you forget you bored. It is necessary to choose a good genre of book, using your discretion. The best genres of books I could refer are historical books, fictional books and relationship books, depending on your interest.
    2. Paint or sketch: Not everyone is a born artist, there are some of us who cannot draw anything. it is fine and good. However, if you for some reason derive pleasure in artistic work, then try to do so when boredom sets in. If you would like to ask “I do not have anything to draw whenever I am bored” Say no more, all you need do is take a walk within your domain, take pictures of images that appeal to you and draw them when you get into your room.
    3. Colouring: Colouring helps a great deal to lessen boredom. However childish it might sound, it could really go a long way to help. Reach out to your crayons, a sheet of paper and colour whatever comes to your mind/head. You could also draw a picture and colour them to your satisfaction.
    4. Write a list: writing a list is a cool way of biding time or wasting time (I would not like to use). You ask what kind of list can I write? You could write a list about: books you would like to read, places you would like to visit, how your wedding would be, your “aso-ebi” colour
    5. Do something creative: You need not be a great writer or an artist, just do something you would pay yourself to do. A few are starting a blog, writing a story, listening to music, seeing a movie
    6. Watch Youtube Videos: There are a thousand and one things to learn on youtube. Channel your internet connectivity to learning new things like how to answer interview questions, DIY, how to have a good memory, how to work smart, the list is endless.
    7. Go shopping: Going window shopping could heal you of boredom at times. You could just go to the mall and walk around, feast your eyes on the groceries

    The logic behind this is to do something profitable when boredom sets in.  You could also place a phone call at your friends and/or family when bored. In summary, feeling bored is natural and happens to all and sundry, it is, therefore, imperative to walk yourself out of boredom when you are faced with it
