What can you say about opportunity?

A parochial environment surrounds “opportunity” The masses have subscribed to the school of thought that “opportunity lost cannot be recovered” In the real sense, it actually can not be recovered. It is more reason one should seize every opportunity that comes one’s way.

Two (2) things make opportunity unrecoverable

1. Unpreparedness on the part of the recipient
2. Ignorance; this is due to a fellow not having enough or ample information about the opportunity.

These factors are the mishaps that govern missing out on opportunities. On the flip side, there are ways one could harness opportunities to reap the benefits of the past. When you cannot see the future when you cannot see the light, you have to get up to put up a fight. Putting up a fight does not literally mean getting your fist gloved with a boxing kit, rather it means going to the carpenter to build a wooden door with no lock (that would allow every opportunity come when it knocks on your door) Ideally, a door with no lock would open of its own accord with little or no effort applied.

Since it is said that “when opportunities do not knock create a door” A wooden door with no lock is an imaginary door you create that makes you stay up late investing in yourself, taking every chance that presents itself to you, leaving your comfort zone, sending in the series of applications, enrolling for the self-developing class, walking up to people with influence, asking doubt-clarification questions, having faith and confidence in Providence, saying your mantra, staying positive, the list is endless.

Opportunities abound, when you work on yourself, you would definitely see the. It is about pushing harder, consistency, commitment, being intentional. Do not throw in the towel when you miss out on any. Go back and try harder, posterity would, one day, smile at you.
