There are many other alternatives, but it’s very important to search for applications that have an actual free plan, and not a 14 day trial period.

If you’re looking at other applications that don’t have a free trial period but have a free account that lets you collect data like you would with Google Forms, here’s a list to get you started on your search:

• QuestionScout: Has a free plan that has all features included, and so you can collect a smaller amount of data using all of the tools they have to offer.

• Jotform: They have a very large library of themes, templates and form fields that well surpass what Google Forms has to offer. Their free account lets you pretty much do everything you can do with Google Forms.

• Typeform: Their free plan allows you to really see why they are so popular, as their forms look absolutely stunning. It’s a completely different take on collecting data with forms or surveys.

• Formsite: Their form builder allows you to create up to 5 forms or surveys and is just like the ones above a great alternative.

As a summary, Google Forms allows you to do the most with the least limitations, but it obviously isn’t as customizable as some of the ones listed above. Every form builder seems to have its strengths and its weaknesses, and there isn’t a true best alternative. The best alternative is whatever suits your use-case, so I can recommend creating a free account on each of them just to see which one fits you best.
