Sleeping is a way nature balances itself in us. Sleep must not be compromised with for whatsoever reason.

  1. Restless nights and weary mornings can become more frequent as we get older and our sleep patterns change—which often begins around the time of menopause, when hot flashes and other symptoms awaken us. In order words, you could get home fatigued and exhausted and still have a busy schedule the following day, the question is how would you get that quality sleep. Remember, you can never cheat nature; it always find a way of balancing itself.

” Later in life there tends to be a decrease in the number of hours slept.” At some point, we all experience insomnia, but as this problem persists, it becomes a bit problem. Apart from the fact that sleeplessness makes us moody and weak, it could also pose some serious health issues.

There are certain pills that can help you sleep well, but it is important to try the natural pill; I mean the natural process instead of taking pills, which may not turn out well in the long run.

    1. Exercise: Taking time out to walk during the day not only make you physically fit, but makes you tired and keep you from being awake at night. Imagine going for a 10km walk a day, obviously, you would be tired and sleep soundly as a result.
    2. Reserve your bed for sleeping: We mostly abuse the use of our sleeping beds. It’s meant to be slept on, instead we turn it to out office space where we receive calls, send emails, type and do all sort of official activities. My advise is strictly adhere to making your bed for sleeping and sleeping alone. It would keep you less awake at night,  and by extension give you a sound sleep.
    3. Comfort: Endeavor to make you bedroom more comfortable and attractive. Make the room well lit with beautiful lights, clean bedspread, cross ventilation, TV and cool sound system, if you can afford them.
    4. Have a sleep routine: some call it sleeping ritual, just like the ones mothers give their children before they sleep; lullaby. As an adult, it sounds weird when someone reads you a bedtime story, instead you can have yourself do things you love before you sleep. I am talking about reading, taking a bath, singing, praying, anything you please, before sleeping. It might help you land a sound sleep.
    5. Eat: Eating is a natural process we all have to go through. To eat before sleeping does not connote you eat like a glutton. Be a picky eater at night so your stomach won’t get protruded and prevent you from sleeping.

I believe with these few practices you would not have difficulty sleeping.

Do have a wonderful night rest now and always.
