Procrastinating, they say, is the thief of time, and must be steer cleared of to achieve whatever wish or goal you set.

  1. You would be surprised that the most disciplined persons procrastinate at some point in time in their life. Procrastination is not 100% feasibly achievable, however, you can ensure it does not mar your productivity by checking it every now and then. Hence, procrastination is a natural phenomenon. David Ballard said “Procrastination is not just avoiding or delaying a task. It also has to include an aspect that’s counterproductive, irrational or unnecessary.”

    Steps to quitting procrastination.

    1. Learn to say “No”: Many of the tasks you get involved in that make you procrastinate are as a result of you not being able to say “no”
    2. Take a step at a time: If you want to juggle all responsibility at the same time because you are a good multitasker, you will end up postponing important activities.
    3. Make concrete decisions: Many a time you do not think about a task, as a result, you postpone it. Take time to ponder the task you have ahead of you, making firm decisions about them.
    4. Do not be afraid to leave: You, always, do not necessarily need to finish a task because you started them. Whenever you see that your project does not make sense again, leave it and move to the next, if you have.
    5. Make it fun: If a task is monotonous, there is every possibility you jettison it and forget about it, regardless of the level of importance it has.
    6. Use tools you like: You, honestly, do not need to use tools because others are using it. If you like doing things manually, then go for it. The essence of this is to make you avoid the pitfall of procrastination.
    7. Avoid distraction: This is one of the broad ways to procrastinating. Ensure you shut all doors to distraction whenever you wish to begin a task. It might be your mobile phone, TV, friends.
