I believe you understand what answer to give this. They are not interested in knowing whether you are physically strong or healthy or otherwise. They want to know your strongest areas in an ideal world and sort of weakness with plans of working on it.

    Your Strength

This question is asked to verbally verify the potential you possess in handling matters. It is to know the attributes/traits that would make you shine/advance/perform-well in the role you are applying for. Generally, you need to lay emphasis on soft skills you possess and how you have applied them in the course of your career. Here are some of the soft skills you can build on as it applies to you

    1. Good communicator
    2. Time management abilities
    3. Team play
    4. Ability to work under pressure

For example, you could answer in this format ” I am an adaptable person. I have always been a great team player. I am good at keeping a team together and producing quality work in a team environment.” “I am able to adjust my approach to meet deadlines”

    Your Weakness

One thing I need you to bear in mind is, do not mention a weakness you have no plan to correct or change. This question should answer areas you are struggling in your career. Basically, mentioning your weakness entails talking about hard skills. They are:

    1. Procrastination
    2. Disorganized
    3. Impatient
    4. Inability to self regulate, leading to burning out

Do not just mention these and keep quiet. Say things on how you are working seriously to overcome this challenge.

For example “I have some challenges with doing things as quickly as possible because I mostly forget. But I have adopted a principle of having sticky notes that remind me of things to do.” ” I have never been comfortable with public speaking which as you know, can be a hindrance in the workplace. Realizing this as a problem, I enrolled in a speech workshop and now I am able to overcome my lifelong fear. Since then I have been given lots of presentations to make. I still do not love it, but I believe with time I would get better”

It is therefore imperative you look inward and draft out where your strengths and weaknesses lie.
