They said fear is one of the universal seven emotions that has a lion share in everyone who has ever stepped on the surface of the Earth. Even the tough Adolf Hilter of West Germany must have had his own share of fear, little wonder he committed suicide on the 30th of April, 1945. You see, a lot of things happened in 1945, but today is not for history, it is about facing our fear. It is considered a negative emotion that serves an important role in keeping us safe, better still, handicapped, from doing things.

Fear is caused by different things, ranging from natural, psychological, and physical happenings.  Fear can be expressed in so many ways. The facial expression is the type of fear that is glaring and more prevalent on the face. A raised eyebrow, teeth-gnashing, exaggerated eyelids, are some of the examples that depict fear on the face. Vocal Expression is also a way that depicts fear. Whenever your voice cracks and breaks at something, then you are obviously terrified. A sensation of fear is when you experience some rather strange things like cold feet, shaking hands

Here are practical ways to overcome one’s fear

    1. Try to relax whenever you feel scared. Just stay calm and watch yourself handle the situation
    2. Know yourself. This is one of the first human priority on earth.
    3. It is rather weird, but sometimes you need to face your fears for some minutes. Take some time off to live with your fear and breathe with “it will be fine” or “it is okay, I will come out of this”
    4. Be rather grateful for all you have been through or achieved in life. This could be wearisome, but try to pen down the things you are grateful for.
    5. Remind yourself that nothing lasts. Every predicament has its own expiry date. Things come and go.
    6. Try to eradicate your fears with something funny or hilarious. Try to see comedy skits or movies.
    7. Kill Negative thoughts by constantly bugging your mind to outlive your fear.
    8. Above all and not least, there is a need to pray about your fears. Praying has proven to be a universal problem solver. So, tender your fears in the place of prayers, regardless of your religion.

Learn to overcome your fears. It is nothing but an illusionary mind game that you only give permission to mess with you. Fear is nothing
