Relationship could be toxic and the other way round, solely a function of the playing partners in it

A relationship is a contractual mutual agreement between two parties, with the sole aim of committing continuous, intentional and consistent decision to making it work. So many ambiguities surround how an ideal relationship should be run. It is imperative to know that relationships are relative and do not nor can ever have a clone.
Your relationship is strictly restricted to you and you alone. Two relationships can never be the same. This is more reason why we should not compare our relationships with others, leading us to be intimidated.
Back to the question, communication in a relationship is key and paramount in a relationship. I honestly feel neither guy nor lady should be laden with the responsibility of making the relationship work all alone. It is quite unfair when ladies think or assume they should get the calls and attention, leaving out the way the partner feels. I am not oblivious of the fact that ladies should be shown care and attention in whatsoever the relationship is. But, the communication, I affirm, must and always be mutual. It should not be one-sided. Both parties should get the hands-on deck and make the relationship work.
As much as the guy instigates the relationship, the lady, on the other hand, must show signs of responsibility by communicating back to the received communication. Everyone deserved to be reciprocated love to.
To you, my reader, do not be on the receiving side of care and attention. Courtesy demands you always respond to whatever gesture you get.
