Getting along with people could get a little complicated. However it is imperative to have a good and working relationship with people, most especially the ones you’re in a group with. They say “If you want to run fast, run alone, but if you want to run far, go with people” Having said this, you need to have a good relationship with people regardless of the situation you might find yourself.

To get your team working together, you need to do:

1. Listen with the intent to understand: It is said that majority of people listen to reply, rather to understand. To make a team work together, you need learn to listen to understand the plight of the narrator.
2. Practise the golden rule: The golden rule has become obsolete in our generation. People don’t out themselves in other’s shoes, instead they act like they don’t make mistake. To get a team working, regardless of the number, you need to put yourself in the position of each individual, however strenuous it might get.
3. Be polite: The world is losing it when it comes to being polite. Myriad go with “this is my nature, I don’t know how to pretend when things aren’t right” Trying to make a team work, whether you’re the captain or not, you must be polite. You could be polite with diplomacy, but it should not take the place of being polite. Just be tenderhearted, you’ll be surprise to know the number of miraculous stunts you’d pull.
4. Cease the occasion to say soothing words: Your team would fall into a very bad or rough day where thing would go not-too-good for you. This is the perfect opportunity to conjure encouraging words to keep the team spirit high and working.
5. Show interest in others: A good way to make things work in your group is to show genuine and honest interest in others without any ulterior motive. When people notice you show interest in them it builds up their capacity and propensity to succeed.
6. Be positive: This is related to one of the above. Being positive means saying and acting positive in all circumstances, without a reservation. Being positive is a mind game and you need to brace up your mind to stand up to the occasion when it arises.
